I'm sorry to hear about your cousin, shrift.
Green days' latest songs are protest songs---not about the war exactly but current situations.
Yes. This plus it actually being a really good album made it the first CD of theirs I've purchased.
And System of a Down's new one BYOB is definitly a protest against the war.
I didn't realize that, but I tried to listen to it once and had to change the station when the incoherent screaming started. I have a couple friends who really like them, but I'd rather try insert a running jackhammer into my ear canal, honestly.
As for midnight showings, I've never called in sick due to one, though I have taken vacation days the next day. I did the same thing for the Serenity screening because 10pm show in Chicago might as well be a midnight showing locally for me.
All the people who've seen Ep 3 and are excited about it kind makes me wish I'd gone with the group of my friends who saw it last night now. Especially since I'm having a tough time finding anyone willing to go with me this weekend. Everyone's either too busy or already saw it last night.
Kalshane, I had no idea what the lyrics were to BYOB until I looked them up. Frankly, it's not the most coherent song even when you know the lyrics, but the screamed sections are mostly "Why don't presidents fight the war/Why do they always send the poor."
OMG, that RotJ thing is hysterical. Nothing has changed! Where did you come across that?
People will want to visit you. Fake a stomach ailment -- they'll leave you alone with your new computer.
two words -- projectile vomiting. You'll have a lonely weekend.
Question for the hive mind: if I wanted to buy two matching lingerie chests *not* online, but at a store where I (okay, Pete) could prod at the things before plunking down the money, where would I start looking? My first thought was Target, but the web site not only says 'web only' for almost all of them, but they didn't get very good reviews.
-sighs-
Guys, I've become Buffy S7 Xander - sometimes you casn stop me in a the background, but rarely do I have lines relevant to the plot, or my own scenes. Assumably, because I'm following orders, alas, I'm following no other BUffista's order than my own.
quickly It's not a revelution. I swear!
Timelies all!
My deepest sympathies, shrift.
Oh, Shrift, fuck. So sorry.
The 80s had a lot of the "fuckit, we're all gonna die" music. In retrospect, it was a depressing time to grow up.
Jilli, go ahead and check Target. I've seen some of those very chests they have marked "Web Only" at my local store.
