That means I get to fake a heart attack and go home early, right?
People will want to visit you. Fake a stomach ailment -- they'll leave you alone with your new computer.

Heart attack to leave, then call in and say it was digestive.
It's only 5 here, and I don't get off work until 6.
That's a WHOLE EXTRA HOUR I could be at home setting up my lovely new G5.
And, with a heart attack, you can just take the long weekend.
See? It's a totally foolproof plan.

Oh, that's a good point.]
-t has the right mix, I think.
And Jessica, if you're still logged on and at work, I'm thinking you're an imposter.
I'm sure I did, but I remember about 3 videos from the 80s. And they have Prince in themLittle Red Corvette, When Doves Cry, and 1999?
Little Red Corvette, When Doves Cry, and 1999?
Good bet. I didn't have MTV until the early 90s, so if it wasn't on Top Of The Pops, I didn't see it. And if it wasn't solidly top ten, I didn't see it twice.
I'm glad (sad) to see I was right in my suspicions. Man, the Brits were such downers in the 80s. What up with that?
Most memorable 1980s music video? The unedited "Relax"--all those writhing bodies left an indelible mark on my teenaged brain. Also "Take on Me," for the comic-y goodness and pretty boys of A-Ha.
For me, the two are "Ashes To Ashes" since it was the first video I'd ever seen, and what an introduction to the surreal.
After that ... probably "I Want Your Sex" by George Michael.
Okay, I lied. More than three, no Prince.
If I saw the video, I'm pretty sure I remember it. It's probably a good thing I didn't get MuchMusic or MTV until 1992.
New game: Cat Bouncing
I'm sorry to hear about your cousin, shrift.
Green days' latest songs are protest songs---not about the war exactly but current situations.
Yes. This plus it actually being a really good album made it the first CD of theirs I've purchased.
And System of a Down's new one BYOB is definitly a protest against the war.
I didn't realize that, but I tried to listen to it once and had to change the station when the incoherent screaming started. I have a couple friends who really like them, but I'd rather try insert a running jackhammer into my ear canal, honestly.
As for midnight showings, I've never called in sick due to one, though I have taken vacation days the next day. I did the same thing for the Serenity screening because 10pm show in Chicago might as well be a midnight showing locally for me.
All the people who've seen Ep 3 and are excited about it kind makes me wish I'd gone with the group of my friends who saw it last night now. Especially since I'm having a tough time finding anyone willing to go with me this weekend. Everyone's either too busy or already saw it last night.
