Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, shrift, I'm so very sorry. That is too much heart-heaviness for one family in one week, or really in one anything.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ganked from Neil Gaiman's blog, but damn it's so evocative: Pictures of an abandoned amusement park.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Ah hell, shrift. No hugs, and -ma is kinda besides the point, I guess. Just be as well as you can.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Crap, shrift. Good thoughts your way.

My mom just sent me a cute picture of the pseudo-grandbabies, because it's the annivesary of their dads' (legal) marriage, and I wrote back, "Thanks for some GOOD news for a change..." So she called to see what was up, was relieved that none of it was directly affecting me, and then told me my cousin lost her job! WTF, world?? W.T.F?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Evocative is the right word, Hec. You can hear the echoes of long-ago laughter and see ghosts of shiny, happy people. And now it's just decayed and dead. So sad.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, shrift, I'm so sorry.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I'm so sorry, shrift.

Is it sad to you? A little melacholy for me, but in a good way. I love abandoned places. I love timeworn things. There was a whole huge photo book of abandoned mansions throughout the south that was so fantastic.

I don't feel the loss so much as the time transport sensation. Like I'm the ghost going back in time.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry about your cousin, shrift. I hope your dad continues to be ok.

If I only had a brain...

I'm sorry about the evil week, Shrift, and about your cousin.
