You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

If I only had a brain...

I'm sorry about the evil week, Shrift, and about your cousin.

I love abandoned places

Have you seen derelictlondon.com? If you like abandoned stuff, you'll love that.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I don't feel the loss so much as the time transport sensation. Like I'm the ghost going back in time.

I see this, but then I tend to bring the people into the picture, too. Just like the park used to be a happy place but is now decayed, the people who went there were happy then, but are now decayed, too. It starts off as melancholy but then just gets downright maudlin.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, shrift, that's terrible. Much strength to you and all involved. And a quick recovery for your father, too.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I found the pictures of the abandoned amusement park very sad.

I'm sorry, shrift. Healing-ma to your dad, and peace to the rest of your family.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Have you seen derelictlondon.com? If you like abandoned stuff, you'll love that.

I haven't, but now I go to check.

I grew up in Florida and when we took out boat out into the bay you could find little dinky mangrove islands with abandoned houses on them. I loved that.

If I only had a brain...

From The Guardian:

Newspaper reporters in California appear to have identified the most sought-after nine-fingered man in the US....

"Children, hear now the story of Nine-Fingered Sicko and the Chili of Doom!"

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oooh, the abandoned train line is cool.
