Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just lost 2 weeks of work. I should probably spend that time sending out resumes and organizing my life. Today I read.

I'm sad to see Jack & Bobby go, but at least they finished the season in a pretty satisfying way.

Tonight was only the 2nd time I've ever seen House. Was this an exceptional episode, or is it usually this good?

Are you ready to be strong?

A really good shoulder exercise that is hard to explain in words:

Stand near a wall with your right side facing the wall. The wall should be close enough that you can put your right palm on it with the elbow slightly bent.

First: Move your right elbow circularly, clockwise, down and forward. You'll feel it around your shoulder blade, hopefully. Make sure your wrist line is parallel to the floor.

Now, notice that your fingernails are all pointing back, like behind you. Spread your fingers, then press the weight of your hand forward till the fingernails are pointing straight forward away from the wall.

All the while, do NOT let your right shoulder rise toward your ear at ALL. Keep it down. Keep circularizing your elbow forward.

Move the skin of your chest up, and the skin of your upper back down. But do not poke your ribs forward. Just don't.

Now, if you can, straighten your arm, without puffing up your inner hand, without lifting your shoulder, without letting your ribs poke forward or your fingernails point back.

If you can stand it, slowly rotate your whole body, pointing your feet away from the wall, keeping your hand, arm, shoulder in the same position.

Repeat on the left.

It's hard and it might hurt a little but it is a fantastic shoulder opener/healer.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ooh, good shoulder exercises. I need them.

I am just now watching GG, and I am guessing I am missed the last scene too. Sad now.

Are you ready to be strong?

I'm scared I'm about to miss it too. Did y'all's Tivos cut it off?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I see what you mean about Lorelei's breasts, ita and Kat.

Also, Tivo cut off the last few seconds for me too. I could see the ending in Lorelei's face though, now that I know what it is.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Okay, that one boy doctor with long hair is HOT. Who is he? Where do I know him from?

He played the younger sister's jerk boyfriend in Ten Things I Hate About You.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Keegan!

Rio, that's a complicated looking exercise. I'll have to work on it.

I could see the ending in Lorelei's face though, now that I know what it is.

I was fixated on the space between, and even missed that.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Tonight was only the 2nd time I've ever seen House. Was this an exceptional episode, or is it usually this good?

Of the 3 or 4 I've seen, this is definitely the best, although the other 2 or 3 (I memfault exactly how many) were all very early in its run.

Timelies. And gronk. The insomnia fairy has been playing hit and run with me this week: a couple hours sleep, then a couple hours awake, then an hour or so asleep, and then awake again. Meh.

Does anyone know if it's possible to be asleep and dreaming, yet still physically aware that one is lying in bed? Or am I just vividly hallucinating from the sleep dep?
