Does it say it in French? Because it's not like I'd understand it. Spanish either. Somedays English is more than I'm up for.Oui si.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

*BAP*
sacre bleu
(What does that mean, anyhow?)
It means holy blue, but I think it's because it rhymes with sacre dieu, holy god. It's like the french equivalent of jeepers. I think.
Jesse! I needed you today! and then I figured out my own dilemma (your address is the one in Astoria, right?) and now I hope it's all good.
Um, yay? My address is in Astoria.
I got to watch H2G2 and the first three episodes of the new Doctor Who yesterday! It was fun.
Hey, did anyone catch 60 minutes? I was watching my tape of the Triple Crown special and missed it. Apparently there was a segment called "The Hobbit"? Was it about the book? Or about the new species of people? (Well, the discovered remains of a species of tiny people.)
Is it wrong that I am now trying to think of six unique messages that I would want on a Scrolling Belt Buckle?
We went to Children's Fairyland today (in Oakland, near Lake Merritt. Purportedly Walt's inspiration for Disneyland) because my co-editor begged me to drag Emmett along since adults can't go unattended by a child.
Now I'm at work. Why am I at work on Sunday? Did you see Punch Drunk Love and see how Adam Sandler finessed the frequent flyer coupons? Here's the deal. If I work on Sunday, I get time and a half. If I work at least an hour on Sunday, I am credited with four hours of work. It's some whackaloon policy going back to the Puritans I expect, but that's still the firm policy. Consequently one hour of Sunday work equals six hours of salary. It's nutty, but here I am.
Most people don't take advantage of it because they don't live in The City, and the commute time back and forth makes it less of a deal. If it takes you 3 hours to get 4 hours of OT you're only going to do it when you actually have to go in and finish some work.
Damn, I would totally work a couple of hours every Sunday. But then, I kind of liked going in to take care of stuff on the weekend when it's quiet.
