Saffron: But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh? Mal: Well, no, uh... We're still two fleshes here, and I think that your flesh ought to sleep somewhere else.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

On Grey's Anantomy: I'm VERY happy with them. Go them! Even if her character does continute the pregnancy they set her at an entirely accurate "end the pregnancy" place at least for one episode. Woo hoo!

And on Desperate Housewives: to state the obvious, could Gabrielle BE even more psychotically selfish? Why even TELL the kid it could be his if you're going to cut him out? Lie, stupid. It's your forte.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I am reserving any big treats to myself until I get a new job.

Well, you will definitely deserve some.

You were in my dream last night

Whenever this sentence is being said (very few times, but still), I can't help but being deeply surprised.

Somehow I think that isn't true in real life, but in the dream you loved American cereal

I tasted exactly one brand of American cereals, at Hil's, and I can't remember what it was. They were little rings, and tasty. It was my one-before-last day in the US, IIRC.

I'm assuming that Frankberry is not kosher, and that, in real life, you didn't have it when you were here.

When I clicked on the link of the picture in your post, I wanted to turn the box over and to look and see if there are any kosher signs on it. Also, you're right, I didn't have it when I was in the USA. But maybe by the time you come visit Israel I would, who knows?

There were a couple of kosher-for-Passover products I saw in an Israeli supermarket that had USA kosher symbols on them (probably some of them go to export, and there's no point in bothering to produce more than one sort of package). I nearly jumped when I noticed that - worlds colliding. There are so many Israeli kosher signs as it is (um, USA has more), it was so surprising to see some of the other ones on Israeli packages.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

congrats, Dana! Very awesome!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

it went fine. I omitted something from the journal and had to appease that person and will refund his money. We had one crazy person get out of line and had one person who did not pay, who I don't think ever will. BUT, the event netted around $25K and people seemed to really enjoy themselves.

I am happy it is over and hope in the next 2 days to get all thank yous out and the budget numbers all finalized.

It keeps amazing me how certain work-things have so much work to do on them even after they're supposadly finished. But at least good time was had, the money was good, and (most of) it is behind you.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Maybe I read too much sci-fi, but this seems like a disaster waiting to happen. I can't put my finger on why -- I suspect it's just that whenever someone fucks with the chemistry of water in science fiction, it ends up being a bad idea, so hearing about it happening in real life makes me nervous.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

BUT, the event netted around $25K and people seemed to really enjoy themselves.

Fantastic job!
