So basically, get right on the subway when you get off the bus, and you may be right on time or you may be really early. Depending.

I took a flight on American from JFK the same week you did, Kat, and had no delays at all.
Awesome. I love New York! My flight's on Delta, so at least I won't have to worry about the American terminal, I guess.
I know next to nothing about public transportation in NYC, except that Duke Ellington says you must take the A Train.
Oh, obviously I didn't see the little yellow AirTrain. Duh.
Seriously, ask four NYers how to get to the airport and you get five different opinions.
I love this. And love that we can contribute to this exact conversation! Kate, the E train was great and zippy. When you get off at Sutphin, you have to go all the way up above ground to the top level (second floor) and walk alllllllll the way across the LIRR platform to finally get to the Airtrain. But it's signed and totally fine.
I think I have a sickness. Or anyway, I am all hot and then all cold -- more often cold -- and am a blithering idiot today. Is it a sickness, or my unconscious sabotaging me from being all caught up this week?
Hint: either way, I would like to go home and do nothing.
Well, I've never been to New York, but I say take the E train.
Thanks for all your help, everyone. Sounds like the E train is the way to go.
