You are always subject to it, but the differences and effects are negligible. Like, a velocity of one Angstrom (sp?) per ten billion years or something like that.
One of the most beloved words among the physicists is "negligible". They really like to neglect things and ignore them. Students, of course, treat it like the TA is cheating whenever that word is pronounced in class.

I'm actually up on a day I don't have to go into work. It's a miracle. I have a pile of work to do, so I'm nibbling at it.
Nibbling is good. Better than I'm doing at least. With the way I'm lounging around this morning you'd never know I have a paper due tomorrow.

With me? Well, crazy semester, I can't remember when I've let myself to play on b.org for two days in a row before today. But on Thursday (meaning starting Wednesday evening) is the Israeli Independence Day, and for various reasons there is nobody else in the room right now, so I figure I can let myself misbehave a bit.
