Oh my god. What can it be? We're all doomed! Who's flying this thing!? Oh right, that would be me. Back to work.

VW! Morning!

I'm actually up on a day I don't have to go into work. It's a miracle. I have a pile of work to do, so I'm nibbling at it.

Mostly lurking...

Nibbling is good. Better than I'm doing at least. With the way I'm lounging around this morning you'd never know I have a paper due tomorrow.

It's been a rough year so far, but I'm hanging in.

I think - from the (way too) little I got to read - that you're dealing with whatever comes your way, with strength and resourcefulness and honesty. That's a lot. You go, girl.

With me? Well, crazy semester, I can't remember when I've let myself to play on b.org for two days in a row before today. But on Thursday (meaning starting Wednesday evening) is the Israeli Independence Day, and for various reasons there is nobody else in the room right now, so I figure I can let myself misbehave a bit.

[Edit:

vw, you're so sweet!

tom, it's just that I just TAed a class about it and was very serious in trying to convince the students of that. And it all splashed out on you, innocent poster. Sorry!]

Timelies!

Hi Nilly!

I succumbed to the lure of free stuff and had a cup of coffee. Now I think I am too jittery to work.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

No, it's OK. I've been known to point it out when others are not technically correct.

Hey, Sue! I hadn't posted with you in so long - is the school year over for you? And was it your last year?

I've been known to point it out when others are not technically correct.

Well, as long as we're not grading each other (guess what I'm slacking at doing right now, no, come on, guess?).

Nilly, technically, I am finished my degree! Yay! But tonight is the first class of a summer session course that I am "sitting in" on. I am glutton for punishment! But really, I've been waiting for them to offer this course (Electronic Text Design) since my first year, and I think it would be really useful for me.

No, you just want to make me feel nice, not like I missed congratulating you on the finishing of your degree. It's really kind of you, to take a whole another class just to make me not feel like I've been neglectful.

Which is a strange way to spell "congratulations!" and "Yay you!", but there it is.

When you put it this way I feel so kind and selfless, instead of slightly unhinged.
