Nilly! I can see your gorgeous smile in my mind as I type these words. It makes me smile back.

Jesse, sounds like you are imitating my dog.
Hiya everyone!
Robin, your tales of shopping from upthread reminded me that I bought these AWESOME fancy high-heeled black satiny maryjane-ish shoes this weekend that I am in LOVE with. I'm trying to decide if I can justify bringing them with me to Germany. They're not good for walking long distances, and I'm going to be doing a lot of exploring, is the thing. But they're so pretty! AND they were only $25 at a sweet little vintage store in town that I'd never been into before. I love them so.
Jesse, sounds like you are imitating my dog.
Heh. Not really, though...
Nothing wakes you up faster than that gagging sound. Well, maybe the mousie dance.
This morning, the garbage trucks tried to wake me up at 6:15 but it didn't work. I knew I should have shut the window last night. I was getting sleepily homicidal because they just.kept.banging the dumpster lids.
Hello, all. It is so Monday I can't see straight.
All weekend long, my house had no heat and it did not top 50d outside. So I spent the whole weekend camped out in front of the space heater, which was in front of the television. Or else baking things. Or going to other buildings (e.g. the laundromat) which were heated.
(My house has no heat because the landlord is allowed to turn it off after a certain date, if he pays for it himself, which he does. I don't know what people do during summers like the one after Krakatoa blew, when it snowed in Boston in July. I mean, not that they had central heating in apartments in the 1880s, but if they did.)
The real question in all this is, WHY is it 45d outside in May?? WTF?? And why did Boston have a hurricane this weekend?
