What Happens in Natter 35 Stays in Natter 35

I love bacon and getting gift certificates, and I'm doing laundry.
And, yes, the new Doctor is hot. And endearing.
I would like to polish my nails, but that doesn't go well with doing laundry. And so goes my Saturday evening.
Oh, and I'm watching original Battlestar on DVD. Fred Astaire did an episode of Battlestar Galactica. Who knew? Not I.
And endearing.
Yes! His weaknesses, the ones that drive the cranky, are so adorable.
I want one.
Or a life.
Wait? Could I have both?
I'm watching the second Harry Potter movie on ABC. Oh my god! This movie is dragging on forever!
Wait? Could I have both?
I think it's only fair.
Numb3rs: I'm a little curious as to what design of plane they used. They seemed to ignore the existence of gyrocopters, ultralights, paragliders, and powered parachutes.
DCP,
they did talk briefly about ultralights, and dismissed them. The actual plane looked sorta like a delta-winged version of the BD-5. Also, remember those two Air Force F-16s the Air Force sent to investigate? By the time they got from Edwards to downtown LA, they had changed to Navy FA-18s. Not to mention the fact that they had them flying at rooftop level and below while they were searching for the UAE.
I didn't realize players were allowed to hit each other with sticks as part of the game...
Yeah, this is the appeal of playing it, and watching it, for some, I guess. If you cross-check someone just right under the kidney protection, you can lift them off their feet and over the boards, and it is perfectly legal. Um, I'm told.
Spending kind of a futless, aimless evening. Just went out for a wander with my iPod, stopping for coffee and pizza. Nice night out there.
Just tried Pulse haircolor and it looks fab. I have wicked shiny hair now. I am going to a wedding at the end of the month and want to wait to color and cut my hair until a week before I go so I look styling in front of all my old friends, but my roots were beginning to look bag-ladyish. Plus it was only five bucks!
What is this?
Also, bacon is just a weird food. It's a crunchy, salty, nasty, greasy MEAT.
I saw The Smartest Guys in the Room tonight-- pretty good, like a long Frontline.
Numb3rs:
did it look like one of these?

I seem to recall it was supposed to be VTOL, which made me think of a gyrocopter with pre-launch rotor spin-up capability. There aren't many of those. And they ignored the vast volume of air traffic over the L. A. metro area, including news and police helicopters.
They didn't address ground clutter either, did they? Or why the test flight took place over the city?
Dude, the new Doctor is hot
Which new Doctor?
Numb3rs:
No, it was a single passenger plane, smaller than those.
It was
VTOL, but silent VTOL, which I don't buy at all. I've heard Harriers in VTOL mode. They're the loudest things this side of a shuttle launch.
As far as the
test flight, they never did clear up what that was all about. Maybe he was trying for the Staples Center.
All in all, I thought it was probably the weakest A-story they've had so far.
