The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I can fix that.

Meanie.

Of course, it meant getting up at 6:00 AM and driving 30 miles, but the Dutch Baby (for me) and the Corned Beef Has (for Lori) were totally worth it.

I have to drive to San Jose, but G&J will be there, and I get to drive fast, so it will be worth it. I am trying to decide if I want the apple pancake or the Dutch Baby or the corned beef hash. Yum.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Wow, it really is hurricane-lite out there. I fell asleep about 11 and slept through until 8, which is extraordinary for me, but that makes up for the sleep I lost this week. Now I have to motivate myself to go out and Do things like shop for groceries. You would think the prospect of eating delicious stuff would be enough motivation, wouldn't you?

But food is good, right?

And I need a battery for a smoke alarm. Those are important, too.

What is even happening?

Help, help, please help.

My mother is a geneology fiend. As far as I know, she does not have geneology software. She's not technical, but does all right with her PC.

Any suggestions?

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Our cat used to lie in the bathroom sink. The only time he's ever been cute.

Perkins, whyforhowcome the SJ one? Isn't Los Altos closer to both you and G&J?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Family Tree Maker. The interface is really intuitive. It's simple to put in the basic stuff, and once you get to know the program a bit better there are ways to put in practically any information.

What is even happening?

Thanks so much, Hil. You're much better than Google.
