Um, Sue, you might want to look into a new iron with auto-off. No burning down the house!!

I think my iron is supposed to have auto-off, so I think it may be time for a new iron. And a new toaster...

Take care ita.

fainting

That happened to me once. I was standing in the living room talking to Hubby and suddenly the horizontal hold went wonky. It was probably a blood pressure flux for me.

Also I discovered at 9pm last night that I had not quite turned my iron off yesterday morning (it was on "1"), nor did I unplug it. I found it tipped over on my bed, with a slight scorch mark on my table top ironing board. I'm very lucky there wasn't a fire. Yikes!

Yikes! is right. I hope it didn't burn your new duvet cover.

The coffee pot was left on here at work last night - must be something in the air making us leave our appliances on.

ita, this is a dumb thing to say, but be careful and you might want to mention it to one of your doctors. Related to migraine, perhaps?

I just got lousy news. One of my parents' cats died this morning. Mommacat. She was a beautiful fat grey and white tabby with the softest fur and a delicate pink nose. She didn't have a meow, she had a squeak and was a demanding affectionmonster. I don't know if she got sick or injured or what. Really trying not to think about this now. Damnit. That's the second pet they've lost in as many months.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I used to have blood pressure drops a lot as a teen. Usually, I could grab something to keep from falling over, but the one time I failed, it was in front of both my parents, and they laughed at me.

Yep. Still bitter. Even if I do look really stupid when I faint.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Tom, so very late, but you can do this. You are loved.

Matt, you are awesome for taking time to help that woman.

ita, yikes. Hope you're okay....

eta: oh, sara, I'm so sorry.

sarameg, good call. Migraine or medication, either of which should cause a check-in with the Dr's office.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, sara, I'm sorry.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sara, I'm so sorry.

Good call about calling the doctor. I'll give him a ring. It was a wicked migraine.
