You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I think I liked the Eccos best, too.

I was a little toxic at last night's bd mtg, but I kept smiling, so I think they mistook my jabs as humor. It's a mistake people make.

That's a good thing.

had a second meeting with a company - talked more specifically about jobs there. I think I am interested and that they like me. I have meeting #3 next week. we'll see.

Also a good thing!

I haven't done any work since like noon. Oops. This is what they get for telling me to install AIM.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am sad that Aerosoles have no entry in this category. Also sad that the pair I have that almost qualify (they're patent) rapidly ceased to fit once I got them home. But at $11 and today's gas prices, not worth driving across town to return.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

OMG! you are on AIM at work? I must remember to load it everyday from now on. AIM express makes me happy.

I was out half the day, so I have done no work either. now I must catch up.

I am, but now I'm so terrified if I sign on at home that my boss with IM me at midnight instead of just emailing like he does now. At least emails I don't have to reply to until I'm at work.

Jesse, can you set up a new ID and give that to your boss? One you only use at work?

Oh, huh. I could have done. I guess I still could, but I'm not all that worried. It's not like I'm ever on AIM anyway.

Segment work and play! Divide! Box up! Compartmentalise! Also -- draw lines.

Way back before I could access work email from home, I wouldn't give out my home email or phone. I'm big on leaving the job at the job. Now I tell people I don't check email (I don't) frequently, if at all. Of course, I also use the answering machine to screen calls.

I like being unreachable. Or rather, controlling who I communicate with. My whims, people, MINE.

but I kept smiling, so I think they mistook my jabs as humor. It's a mistake people make.

Ah, but was it fun and not just annoying?

I'm sleepy. I think I might be reacting to the smell of something my officemate ate. It's coming awfully close to my reaction to raw onions. Annoying.

it was only fun in that I had answers for everything, no one yelled at me, and I was a smartass 3-4 times.

That sounds pretty close to my definition of fun -- toss in a bit of shirtless hottie men and unarmed combat, and it's perfect.

It's rational of me to not want to embark on meeting #3 today, right? Especially with the amount of prep I'll need to do for #4.
