Funniest thing about Orange Julius: my mother spent years thinking it was orange juice WITH HOT DOGS IN IT. Har. She couldn't figure out why people liked it.

Ooh. Thanks. I like that song. I've heard it before - it's pro'lly on one of my LPs that I haven't listened to in a million years. I'll have to grab that from iTunes.
They used natural syrups at the coffee shop where I worked way back when. I had to tell quite a few people that an orange or lemon steamer might not be such a good idea. I could usually do a mocha with orange flavoring by putting the milk in after the espresso shots and chocolate, and using skim instead of whole, but those fruit-based syrups in milk drinks could be tricky.
