All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oy. I thought I'd watch a bit of fluff while doing laundry so I popped in the 1st disc of The Lone Gunmen. I saw parts of the pilot when it aired but didn't remember much of it. I'll bet everyone involved was pretty horrified 6 months after it aired. Not so fluffy. Commentary should be interesting.

It should be a day off!

It's also Cinco de Mayo

Then it should be a day off with drinking!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

She did clarify that it's Friday. You, Alibelle, never mentioned a date at all, so she has one up on you.

I don't know if I can make it, but there's no way I'm buying a pretty dress for anything I need to show up at 7am for.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's not like you're not up, ita....

ION, I woke up to a press conference about a bomb in midtown. NOT a good time. Of course, it turns out not to have been a big deal, but so why was WNYC airing this whole stupid press conference live? Totally harshed my waking-up vibe. (I have figured out the Thing To Do when using public radio as the alarm: Set it for five minutes before the hour, so you wake up to good news.)

I was at the Bay (big national Candian dept. store) last night, and they had some products by the company that makes the person knife holder (But sadly, not the holder.) But I was very tempted by this: [link] and this: [link]

What is even happening?

Oooh. I love dates like that. My own birthdate 3/4/67 is a horrific near-miss sort of disappointment.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, if only you'd been born on March 45th, 1967.

(sorry.)
