Just another lucky break for Halliburton then? They seem to get a lot of them from this administration.
Halliburton doesn't currently have any asbestos liability. They funded a settlement trust earlier this year. The bill doesn't affect them, luckily or otherwise.

My mistake, I still thought they had liability.
So I went to the Zam Zam last night after work, and Scarlett Johansson and her entourage came in. It was weird.

So what do famous folks and their hangers-on do in clubs? Do they dance with the hoi polloi or just lurk in the VIP section and feel fabulous?
I've been feeling the lack of that for myself lately.
Yeah, Sarameg. It's also hard to get out of that rut.
Today is a lickity split zippy day.
No kidding. On the first. Day is dragging here.
I've been trying to drag myself, kicking and screaming and hanging on to the doorjamb with my fingernails, out to something new-to-me and possible forward moving at least once a week. I'm otherwise content to molder in my cave, but that's just not proving healthy. So far so good. But it's ...work.
Moldering in cave...sounds like a plan.
Okay, not so much. But...cozy. And fun, what with imaginary friends in the lighted box, and books, and cat, and, and....
Okay. Walks outside are good too. But yeah, work.

What little experience I have with this indicates that certain celebrity types like to find cool little out of the way bars that feel "real" (whatever that means in Hollywood). They like a good jukebox and ambience and want to just hang with their friends. The bar has to have a cool enough clientele that they won't be bothered for autographs. And inevitably they kind of hit and run - they either visit one place for a month or so and discard it, or they only return to that place on an irregular basis. (Note: Survey sample size limited to Sean Penn and Nicholas Cage, who frequent the Tosca Cafe in North Beach (Sean) and The Saturn Club in New Orleans (Nic).)
