To accommodate the potty humor angle, of course! This song was usually sung before or after the Helen Keller and "man with no arms and no legs" jokes were pulled out, as well as any current gross humor that was floating around (I still remember a few Natalie Wood and Grace Kelly jokes 20 years later).

That's a relief, as my parents drive one.

I took today as a leave day to cope with a splitting yet non-migraine-y headache, but managed to be productive nonetheless. I cleared a stopped drain, took trash out, paid bills, got an affadavit notarized, switched my cable setup, and finally found out what the third song was in my earworm trifecta that I can never recall when near a computer: "Train in Vain" by the Clash. (Exile's "Kiss You all Over" and Tesla's "Love Song" being the other two.)

You are amazing, Matt, to do all that with a headache. I have a hard time being that productive without one.

I just read that Jason Dohring auditioned for Duncan's role on VM, and bland guy auditioned for Logan. And that Logan was supposed to be a pilot one-off. Naturally, this brings JM's insertion into the Buffy cast to mind (oh, we do love the naughty boys), and Jack on Lost (not originally designed as a regular either, IIRC). Anyone else of interest pulled this off? Especially as quickly as Matthew Fox?

I watched part of that press conference, and I'll tell you exactly what it was about, or at least what it felt like it was about to me -- scolding us (and in turn, those of our elected representatives who are not toe-ing the line) for not doing what he wants us to do.

That, and making some not-so-subtle digs at anybody who thinks differently from him.

Jack on Lost wasn't supposed to be a regular? Wow.

Andy Sipowicz was supposed to die on NYPD Blue.

Gunther on Friends was an extra and got the barista gig because he knew how to work an espresso machine.

Wasn't Nurse Hathaway supposed to die or be rendered vegetative from her nasty overdose in the ER pilot?
