Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

If you HADN'T ordered it, after all your hard work, I'd have flown to Boston and made ya! And I really can't afford the airfare, so thanks for saving me the money.

That's great news, -t, although, I feel your pain on the packing and stuff.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Just realizing that going into teaching probably means I'll never get that job where they demand that I fly all over the world and stay in hotels and order room service. Dammit.

In other news, my brother was in St. Petersburg last week. He took some people to Sbarro's, then went to an Irish pub to watch the Manchester United-Chelsea match and drink Newcastle. Also, he's continuing his themed tour of places with steambaths -- when in Syria, the hammam; Turkey, the Turkish baths; Russia, the banya.

Have I mentioned how wicked jealous I am? Mind you, he's having a better time of it than I probably would, what with the talking-to-strangers thing. Also, there's the being a corporate lawyer thing that paid for this trip, which is probably not my thing.

Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit.

Just talked to former employer, and he acknowledges that he gave me the wrong date on the disability insurance. He misunderstood the question I asked back in October, and there is probably nothing they can do about it.

Well what the fuck did he think you were asking, when you said "when does my disability insurance run out?"

Sorry, was that vehement?

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

That really sucks, vw!!

probably nothing

Key word: probably, meaning chance for this falling in your favor?

He misunderstood the question I asked back in October

He should have understood the question before giving a date, then.

Lilty, Lilty, Lilty. . . you are behind. We've gone from thinking that Zack/Dana is Mike's son to thinking he might be Mike's nephew.

Well what the fuck did he think you were asking, when you said "when does my disability insurance run out?"

He thought I was asking about COBRA health insurance, which is weird, since I had sent him an e-mail asking about COBRA the week before. He still has the e-mail, though, so he could see what I asked. He knows he messed up, but what can he do? Rules are rules.

He should have understood the question before giving a date, then.

Yeah, really. And I doubt there's much of a chance of this falling in my favor. He's going to call the insurance company to check the policies, but...
