And boys -- let's watch the swearing.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

House had been cleaned and nap has been had. Me and The Punk side by side on the bed.

Lately, we have been holding her on our laps while we surf the nets, write, whatever and she desperatly wants to play. So Joe opened Word for her and let her bang away on the keyboard.

Somehow, she almost ended up installing AOL.

Later today, we'll see if she can come up with Twelfth Night.

Herding cats for fun

I have come down safely to the ground and the Roof, she is sealed and shiny white. Go Team Bee! We'll just see who's sitting here all warm and dry under a non-leaky roof when the rain comes back.

While I was up on the roof, I saw a blue jay pecking a little brown bird. I yelled. DH threw a rock, and we saved the little bird. He rested for awhile in my gardening basket and flew away about an hour later.

Then I opened today's mail and found out I have been deemed Second Hiring Pool for Really Good Job #2. Sigh. I'd so hoped I'd snag another job before my UI ran out, but in two weeks, I'll be living on my savings or temping again. BLECH!!!

I have managed to plow through ten pieces of creative writing rewrites today, with the help of the amazing Deena and my wonderful father. I feel all accomplished and stuff.

There is an AMAZING thunderstorm going on outside.

Also yay for the power of wireless and laptops, that I can post this without fear of frying my computer.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Kara had an accident. A big one. And she keeps screaming about bugs, there are too many bugs, there are more bugs than people. I'ma ship her to Jilli.

Um, er, okay? I have a big yard she can run around in ...

I saw Plei & Paul & Tickybox last night. We were once again foiled in the picture-taking, this time because the battery in our camera was dead.

Today has involved brunch, buying silly gothic romance novels (yay!), buying stainless steel spiral earrings from the local bodypiercing shop, and running some errands. Next, I go work on altering a dress. But maybe I better Kara-proof the house ...

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

It was the very gothiness of her today, what with the screaming corndog and the bugs of death. I may keep her for a while if she stays in bed this time.

Next time, though, there's a big computer box in the basement. A couple of holes and bada bing, bada boom, Kara's your punkin.

Trust my rage

So, please talk to me about something so I will stop looking up cases of stillbirth due to umbilical cord knots.

Anyone doing anything interesting?

I'm turning my final essay into "How to Make an Appalachian Quilt." It's probably only interesting to me, but...I'm willing to talk about it if it'll get you to stop looking that up!

yeah, i came across a post on another board that I should have just skipped.

So, is an appalachian quilt different from another one?
