I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

{{Aimee}} I am shocked that they won't work with you. Seriously, anyone collecting a debt is usually far more interested in actually collecting the money than going through a bunch of legal fire rings. OTOH, didn't Ford's bonds just get declared non-investment quality because of thier poor credit rating? Maybe that has some relevance...

That's a nasty surprise, vw. More hugs for you.

The place we looked at was very nice - two story and the first floor was pretty damn close to as big as the entire current place. We're gonna give them a deposit with the rental app tomorrow. They go by credit rating, and I have no idea what mine is like, but it was good enough to get a car loan two years ago, so I'm assuming it's good enough to get an apartment that we can, in fact, afford. If all goes well we can start moving in on Monday.

What is even happening?

Oh, -t, good luck to you.

Aimee, I'm sorry you're going through this crap. Strength to you, babe. And may it all get settled as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Thanks, y'all.

And now to start packing. This could require booze.

{{Aimee}}, {{vw}} Yuck. Money problems are of the suck. I send you find-money~ma and get-off-my-back~ma.

{{-t}} Glad you found a place so quickly! Your landlord needs a severe smiting. Smite, smite, smite!

Other than that, I got nuthin'. Well, got a hangover, but I don't think it's anything all y'all would want me to share with you.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Well the nice company hasn't hired me. But they did give me e-mail today. This is good, right?

I have no milk and I don't want to drive to the market to get some. I am trying to remind myself that I really will want coffee in the morning and that requires milk (for me) so I should throw a pair of jeans on and go get milk. And maybe something for dinner while I am at the store...

What. Sail. Said. (Though I am keeping a little of that for myself. Just to make it stronger you know...)

{{Cass}} Tell them to keep the e-mail, you'll take more money and/or a permanent position. Phthtpththpbt, on them.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Aimee, I once had something similar happen, panicked, had a friend talk to them.... and they did nothing. Were never going to do anything. Were just trying to scare. So, were I you, and after you have things emotionally under control, I would tell them (either by telephone or letter) that you've clearly demonstrated willingness to pay, that you do not want to file bankruptcy in order to avoid paying; that you have no money to pay the lump sum they demand, that they lied to you in order to get the lump sum and that you're aware of that, so they'd better just deal. Most likely, they'll shut up.

t-, that sounds like the perfect home. I hope you get to move in soon.

vw, I'm sorry honey. You're job hunting, though. You'll find something perfect for you very soon. It'll be okay.

{{{Cass}}} what Sail said. Damnit.

I'm cranky. Aidan has hit the terrible twos with a vengeance, completely surpassing Kara's ability to destroy things. She's incensed and working valiantly to prove she's still the queen of destruction. My house is dirtier than it's ever been and I'm ready to scream. Gah. Whose great idea was it to have two more kids before I turned 40? I'ma shoot the idiot.

I am sending calm~ma to you and the kids Deena. That sounds just hair-pulling frustrating.

t hides Greg too

I kinda want all three. Though with the temping, I am making decent money. I just want it to be a bit more permanent now.

Getting the email acct at the company set up today *is* a good sign that they really do want me, I think. They are just less than prompt at getting in touch with my agent-y woman and signing a contract saying "We wants us some Cass."

Gronky now. It might be a very early night for me tonight. At least I hope so. Nothing says rockin' Friday night like crawling into bed early with no alarm set...
