Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Aimee, I once had something similar happen, panicked, had a friend talk to them.... and they did nothing. Were never going to do anything. Were just trying to scare. So, were I you, and after you have things emotionally under control, I would tell them (either by telephone or letter) that you've clearly demonstrated willingness to pay, that you do not want to file bankruptcy in order to avoid paying; that you have no money to pay the lump sum they demand, that they lied to you in order to get the lump sum and that you're aware of that, so they'd better just deal. Most likely, they'll shut up.

t-, that sounds like the perfect home. I hope you get to move in soon.

vw, I'm sorry honey. You're job hunting, though. You'll find something perfect for you very soon. It'll be okay.

{{{Cass}}} what Sail said. Damnit.

I'm cranky. Aidan has hit the terrible twos with a vengeance, completely surpassing Kara's ability to destroy things. She's incensed and working valiantly to prove she's still the queen of destruction. My house is dirtier than it's ever been and I'm ready to scream. Gah. Whose great idea was it to have two more kids before I turned 40? I'ma shoot the idiot.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

The Spikelet can outdestruct RaptorGirl?

t hides in terror

I am sending calm~ma to you and the kids Deena. That sounds just hair-pulling frustrating.

Whose great idea was it to have two more kids before I turned 40? I'ma shoot the idiot.
t hides Greg too
Tell them to keep the e-mail, you'll take more money and/or a permanent position.
I kinda want all three. Though with the temping, I am making decent money. I just want it to be a bit more permanent now.

Getting the email acct at the company set up today *is* a good sign that they really do want me, I think. They are just less than prompt at getting in touch with my agent-y woman and signing a contract saying "We wants us some Cass."

Gronky now. It might be a very early night for me tonight. At least I hope so. Nothing says rockin' Friday night like crawling into bed early with no alarm set...

Hee! Greg says it was my idea. I swear it was his. Really, he wanted a baby girl SO bad, and I said that that meant I get a baby boy. Sheesh. Talk about cutting off nose to spite face.

I'm glad there are good signs, Cass. Companies are often slow. Hang in there.

and David reminds me, go Debet! That's great news.

Okay, I have to go make Greg's lunch for tomorrow and do a few things before I can go to bed, so I'd better get busy. Night Bitches!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Are any SFer's around? I was going to head to SF to see Beth and JZ on Sunday, but forgot about the Bay to Breakers. If I take the train up around 11:00, would it be insane? Should I drive up instead and park closer to the haight?

beth b - May 13, 2005 8:51:01 pm PDT #9140 of 10001
oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

driving is probbably crazier with all the road closers. the only time public transportation is crazy is when people are trying to leave the park and get home. and even then it isn't that bad.

Thanks, Beth! I may still take the train, in that case.

Mostly lurking...

Poor beth! I hope you got back to sleep.

I'm feeling a little better this morning. If I get the job I interviewed for last week, things will be ok. If I don't, well, I'll just step up the search a bit. Things should be ok through June. It's just that I was counting on them being ok through August. Oh, well. Can't have everything, right?
