Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Trust my rage

I was going to come over here and celebrate that I finished my bar review assignments for the day and it's only 5:25. I'm so relieved - maybe I can do this after all.

But I'm also really frustrated now for Aimee and vw - both of those situation really suck and money stuff is so stressful.

Art Crawl!!!

I think that you should appeal vw -- at least find out why they cut you off two months early.

The thing is, they didn't cut me off early. They're right. But, my former employer told me July 19, so that's what I was counting on. The employer was wrong, which might get me an apology, but not two-months worth of money.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Gah. My stomach is roiling in sympathy with -t, Aimée and vw. Three unique flavors of completely unjust suckitude, and hitting on all the horrid wounded places we all have about money and adulthood and failure and dependence and arrgh. Dammit. I'm sending -ma, because I can't think what else to do.

brillig

In a sort of good news, I just talked to the hospital's collection agency--which is full of kind, cooperative individuals, just to put that out before the universe--and found out that the thousand-dollar bill they sent me a "reminder" on is just a renamed old bill I knew about but which slipped through my record-keeping, not a new one.

Plus, Aimee, what you described was totally worthy of your reaction. Just glad to hear you are feeling better.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

{{Aimee}} I am shocked that they won't work with you. Seriously, anyone collecting a debt is usually far more interested in actually collecting the money than going through a bunch of legal fire rings. OTOH, didn't Ford's bonds just get declared non-investment quality because of thier poor credit rating? Maybe that has some relevance...

That's a nasty surprise, vw. More hugs for you.

The place we looked at was very nice - two story and the first floor was pretty damn close to as big as the entire current place. We're gonna give them a deposit with the rental app tomorrow. They go by credit rating, and I have no idea what mine is like, but it was good enough to get a car loan two years ago, so I'm assuming it's good enough to get an apartment that we can, in fact, afford. If all goes well we can start moving in on Monday.
