Mostly, just the combination of end-of-semester and being sick is making everything 20 times more difficult than it needs to be. I had to give a presentation today, and I've got a bunch of stuff due and a bunch of papers to grade, and trying to do all this with a low-grade fever and infected tonsils and about four hours of sleep a night is just not working.
Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
WOOHOO!!!! It's quittin' time. Now I go BBQ, drink, lay on the beach, eat at fancy restaurants, sip cocktails by the firepit, and be TOTALLY LAZY for 3 whole days! Have a lovely weekend, y'all.
Also, a guy asked me out, and it's been way too long since that's happened, and this is a guy I actually like, and I had to say no. Feh.

Sounds like fun.
Yeah, I checked the rules and I am definitely not Goth enough. Basically, it's like somebody offering cheap corsets to Bitches, except that said person would be soooooo overwhelmed.

I'm sorry, Betsy. If it makes you feel any better, there are some people in that community that I don't think are Goth enough to be there, but I was outvoted.

Oh, no. Can you turn that "no" into, "I'd really like to after..." [ whatever it was that got in the way--health, school, etc.]?

Yeah, I did. But I really don't think I'll be able to do anything this week, and then for the next two and a half weeks, one or the other of us is going to be out of town pretty much every day. So this turned into a "I'd love to...um, maybe in June?"
Oh, Hil! I'm so sorry you're still so sick and having to deal with this end-of-the-semester stuff at the same time. How tough!
And I'm sorry about the off timing with the guy. Hopefully you'll be able to connect later.
Arse. Stupid date-jinxing universe!
It's fine, Jilli; I can't honestly describe myself as a Goth, just an admirer.
