That's disturbing. You're emotionally scarred and will end up badly.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Fay, you are a pedagogic badass.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It's cool.

That is very cool.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Pictures of my hubby doing his half-ironman triathlon are up. I don't know how he gets around on those skinny legs of his. He would like you to know that the clock does not correctly reflect his time, as they start that clock when the pros begin, and he started in a later wave.

Very cool!

Plei does not owe me anything. I on the other hand, still need to mke my reservations for the 4th.

Happy (belated) birthday, GC.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I think I like the black suit better, but it may be because of those incredible shoes.

I hope Jilli chose ringlets. That's what I was voting for.

Stephanie, I hope your situation works out in whatever way gives you the edge of confidence you need to kick ass and take names at the bar exam.

I've read, but can't recall anything else I ought to comment on. Today was day 6 of the death flu, kindly provided to me by my number one son. Thankfully, I felt reasonably human for a good portion of the day so I'm guessing I'm on the mend. That's a very good thing since I'm woefully behind in all my work. Also, my medication is making me jittery, which is why I am not yet asleep. I do plan on trying again at any moment now, though. Really.

Ick. I hope you feel better very soon, Deena.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Feel betterma vibes directed toward Deena.

Stephanie, the barnazi woman is freaking unbelievable. I hope you get this situation worked out so that it satisfies your needs, the baby's needs, and the requirements of the exam.

The black suit looks awesome, vw, and the shoes are fabu. Do we still say fabu? Or is it passe'?

Oh, and ringlets. Definitely ringlets.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I wish I had more practical experience with BF before I tried it. Someone to say, "hell, yeah, it's going to hurt for a little while." Instead of it hurting and then reading all this crap about how if it hurts, you're doing it wrong--the latch is wrong, etc. Never said, "if your baby sucks like a hoover, it might also hurt."

Ha! Too true, and I got lucky: one of the nurses at my OB's office warned me, plus with the nipple flatness issue (dude, I swear they weren't flat before the baby!), the LCs tell you flat-out that it'll hurt for a while for reasons I'd have to whitefont. I was so worried about her getting enough to eat when she was having latching issues the first few days that I'd just keep nursing even if I thought the latch was bad--I figured that if I took her off like the books suggest, she might never get back on.

Hi Plei!

I have nothing to add to the breastfeeding discussion.
