Hey, I've been in a firefight before! Well, I was in a fire. Actually, I was fired from a fry-cook opportunity. I can handle myself.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Stephanie, if you pump pump pump like a madwoman right before going into the test, you should be ok to not pump. Let down will be a relief, believe me, but maybe it would just be easier to not pump during the test? You could pump an extra bottle a day for the 3-4 days prior to the test (breast milk lasts longer than formula) and then your mom would have enough to feed her with until you're done. And then, just make her nurse forever when you get home.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Serial to address xpost:

You can not bring the baby in the building/testing site or have anyone else bring the baby in the building/testing site.

You can not bring the baby in the building at any time.

This seems inconsistent. Unless they've changed things since my day, the test is given in an enormous room. Like a basketball court. That room isn't the only one in the building. So is it the building or the testing site?

Thrive to spite them

I have no advice about breastfeeding.

I would love to see a picture of Emeline chewing on Shadowrun: Rigger or anyother book like that.

ALso, I've done my good deed for the day. We have birds nests at the front of the building, it's an annual thing. One fell out that's too young to fly. After who knows how long on the ground I found out about it and took it to a wildlife rescue drop off. Of course by the time I got back with a box for the hurt bird there was a baby that could fly but was hanging out in the drive so I scooped it up and took it along.

When I came back two more babies able to fly were on the ground and someone was fretting. But I figure if they can fly they can get back up to the nest. Even if it is at the top of a really tall palm tree. I'm only taking animals that look injured.

YEAH! WHere the hell have you been??? Jeebus.

I spend all my time over at the gf's place these days. I'm probably gonna wind up moving in here, prolly sooner rather than later.

Al Martinez' column last week was about meeting Jesus and whatsherfaces show. I thought of you.

Julia brought that one in this weekend and we all read it. I think my favorite part was when god said he liked the show.

Em is chewing on anything she can get her hands on including, but not limited to, her books, my books, dad's books (nothing funnier than baby with Shadowrun:Rigger or summat in her mouth), paper, cats, dog, and her thumb.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

brillig

Babies make good shoplifting props. Hubby caught a guy who'd come into the store with the infant, stick something between himself and the baby, then pinch the baby's foot to make it cry. Then when the clerks tried to stop him he'd tell them they were upsetting the baby more.

Hubby said he didn't care, and when the cop arrived, he looked at dad and said, "You again."

They let him walk because otherwise they'd have had to call CPS to take the baby, and, you know, families are sacred.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

We lose a lot of merchandise to strollers, sadly. We have a repeat offender who drags her baby to stores all over the district.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Also, Em spent a good 5 minutes kicking the crap out of the dog's head on Saturday while they were both on my lap and he did....

...

...

...

NOTHING. Not even a growl. Eventually he just went and snuggled with dad.
