Yeah, they are, erika!
Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I wish I had your email addy, Fay, as I have a question (unrelated).

As mentioned above.

We Buffistas run to big-mouths, huh? It's a Homicide quote, but I had never known what that meant outside Buffy fandom, but one writer did go from H:LOTS to Buffy: Anya Epstein. I hate her, esp. since she was writing Homicide at 25. She really needs to die. Think of the poetic justice. But maybe she wrote that one.
I just e-mailed my honors' advisor about how many classes I'm registered for next fall (5 plus a lab - 16 credit hours). I'm not sure that's a smart move. I know I did well this semester, and finished up four incompletes, but I think that schedule may be pushing it. I'm really not sure what to drop, though. I'm totally stuck. I hope he has some good thoughts.
vw, can you wait to visit the classes and then make a decision about what to drop? That way you can get a feel for the professors. I'm a big proponent of taking the classes with the best teachers because they can make anything interesting (within reason), and don't worry so much about the subject matter.
Oy, vw, that's a big load. I know you can do it if you put your mind to it, but try not to set yourself up for a really stressful semester if you figure out a way to do it.
That's a very good point, Sparky. Currently I'm registered for:
General Biology
General Bio Lab
Pre-calculus
Advanced Comp
Computers and Humans (a PoliSci course that looks FASCINATING)
Communications Studies Independent Study (to finish my Bronze/Buffista project).
I really should take the general bio and lab, because I need the second part of the course that is offered in the spring. Advanced Comp is being taught by one of my favorite profs, so I don't want to drop that. I've heard wonderful things about the prof for Computers and Humans, so I'm thinking that one will be a go. And, the Independent Study I need to do next semester for a bunch of reasons, but mostly because the professor may be leaving that position. So, if I don't do it now, I probably won't be able to do it. So, it's looking like pre-calc will be dropped. But, you're supposed to take your math requirement before you have 20 credits. I came in with 20 credits, so... I don't know what happens with that...
Are you going to have any incompletes to worry about next semester, vw?
Nope! No incompletes! All done! All graded! And not taking any this semester!
(sorry for all of the exclamation points. I'm just excited about that.)

My advice? Don't ask. Just do what's right for you. Pre-Calc is really important to get right. My sister the math prof advised me to take it only when I could give it my attention because the biggest problem she has with people in Calc is that they don't remember their pre-calc alegebra.
And, woot! yipee! yahoo! way to go! on not having any incompletes!
