Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Ok, must progress into heavy-duty schmancifying mode.

Have fun!

Second load of laundry done, makeup applied, and (IMHO) very cute clothes put on. Now just waiting for the pseudo-sib to arrive.

(Shallow Fashion Details, for thems that wants 'em: pointy ankle-high boots w/ buckles, b&w stripey stockings, a pink knee-length petticoat worn under a black one, black lace Victorian blouse, all worn under a knee-length princess-seamed v-neck dress w/ 5" wide Venice lace trim at the hem. Hair in low pigtails, and the usual top hat. I look like I escaped from a Tim Burton movie, so I'm quite pleased. )

The hee was to Deena, by the way--not to Jilli. Jilli, that sounds fabulous, and there should be pictures, darn it.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I'd love to see pictures of that, Jilli. It sounds lovely and strange, like unexpected magic.

Time to get busy again.

Wow, I feel rather unproductive in comparison. I went to bed at midnight, set my alarm for 10, turned it off, woke up at noon, fell back asleep, and woke up at 1:30. This is a little ridiculous, me thinks...especially since I only got up becuase I was alarmed at the time, and not because I was especially done sleeping.

However, then I went to the thrift store, cried when I happened to end up going there along the Avon Breast Cancer Walk route and saw all the walkers, and I currently have five loads of laundry in the machines downstairs (that being all I have quarters for. It occurs to me I own wayyyyy too many clothes).

Now I just want to sit on my couch. But I might end up going on a date with someone I don't really want to go on a date with. Ay.

Oy Meara, that's an uncomfortable place to be in. I hope it's either great fun or your date also realizes there's no click.

Greg came home, saw how clean the kitchen is, and decided that his birthday dinner could be out instead of in. Yay! I get a present too!

meara girl, life is too short to keep dates you don't want to keep.

Woo hoo!

Jill, are you going out, or just being your usual gorgeous self?

Now tagless for your comfort.

You could always say "But the Headmistress of Gothic Charm School said I could!"

I'm so using this. Yup.

My house is the cleanest it's been since the baby's been born. And I still have an hour to make our bed and take a shower before the people get here.

My twin sister wanted my opinion on meeting people on the internet today. HA!!! I've always thought she thought I was a little crazy for meeting with the strange, interbunny folks but now she told me she's considering eHarmony.com or Match.com.

Since I've never used them, I don't know what to tell her. Any buffistas out there with first hand knowledge of either of those two services? I don't want her to waste her money, but I think she really is at a point where her personal life is pretty together (meaning she wants to move beyond her ex) and she wants to meet a nice guy. But she's not in Great Guy Central so she's going to have to cast a wider net.

Crap. Must shower before people get here.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

My boss met her current boyfriend on Match. Mind, she went through a lot of dates, some good, some not so good. But overall I'd call it a success.

Didn't Jen meet Her Doom on eHarmony recently? Or was it another one?
