Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I saw the sweetest grayhound today. Tom and I were coming out of our apartment, still up the steps on the deck. The grayhound came by (with her owner) and came up the stairs to say hello.

I want a dog so badly. Specifically, a grayhound. This desire predates this morning's lovefest, though, I've dog-sat grayhounds and they are just the sweetest.

They really are, Nora. What does Tom think about getting a dog? Is it something that's a possibility in your future? I think you guys would be wonderful dog parents.

Nora, I'm glad you were able to relax some, last night. When do you move to your new place?

You know, he wasn't so much of a dog person when we first met, but I did a LOT of dog-sitting with him as "company" and he's gotten in the groove of things. He likes grayhounds a lot. I'd like to think about getting a dog once we get settled and figure things out. We will have a fenced in yard... but I don't know how grayhound legs/hips would deal with going up and down all the stairs all the time.

I think eventually we'll get a dog. I hope it's in the relatively near future (in about a year or so). Or maybe some dog will get us!

When do you move to your new place?

We close on the 21st and move on the 28th (knock wood) of June.

Woo hoo. It'll all work out. Lots of people only get their money if it works out. They'll work hard to make it work for you.

I figured giving a full week between the closing date and the move would give us a little wiggle room in case something was discovere at the 11th hour, like, oops, that fence is actually on an ancient Indian burial groung type of thing.

Or something. I'm always hearing about Something Going Awry at the last minute.

At least when you're a first time buyer, you've eliminated at least half of the potential things that can go wrong, because your purchase doesn't depend on you selling another property.

Whoo! Fixed the problem by taking out the information on my high school diploma. Two resumes off. Craziness. Now I must shower and get my ass to school!
