Um...what are distance learning platforms, and do we think I can somehow say that I have experience working with them or something similar that would make me qualified for a position requiring that experience?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Teppy, the Alchemist is supposed to "show" one of their IPAs. Sadly, it was not on tap last night. Maybe tonight?

I hope so -- the Holy Cow IPA is (apparently) an amazing beer. I, personally, don't like IPAs b/c they're too hoppy. But if it's on tap tonight, definitely have some!

I don't know if my brother is there or not -- he didn't mention it, but I also haven't talked to him in almost 2 weeks, so he might be there. Just ask for Jeff Lang. (And tell him to call me!)

Yep, it's the Holy Cow. I hope it goes up tonight- I won't be able to take the crowds of people on Friday and Saturday nights, and I can't make it during the day on Saturday.

I hope I get up there tonight, as well.

EEK! I'm meeting with J and her case manager at noon today. I'm not prepared. This could be a mess. Please send sanity~ma, calm~ma and word~ma.

did the appointment get moved up, or did you just get last minute notification? That sucks, either way, especially with all you've gone through. It's like your time is not important at all, and that's just not cool.

Sanity~ma, though.

I just got last minute notification. It'll be fine...it's just that my therapist and I didn't get to sit down and make notes about what needs to be talked about, 'cause we thought the appointment would be next week. So, I just feel ill-prepared. But, this is when they can do it, around *my* schedule, which isn't very flexible right now with end-of-the-semester and stuff. So, it is what it is.

I knew it was a possibility last night...I just didn't think it would be the one they would choose. I know her case manager, though. She was a counselor in the program while I was there. So, there's some history. It'll probably be fine.

Totally unrelated, my parents' flight has not left Amsterdam yet. It was supposed to leave two hours ago. Poor things are probably all exhausted waiting in the airport and stuff. I hope they get some good sleep on the flight so they are functioning enough to drive home when they get in.

This messes up my day, though, too, as I'm supposed to pick them up at the airport. Thank goodness for computers, so I can watch what time they are estimated to arrive.

I'm sure it will be fine, vw, but here's some sanity~ma, because everyone can use a little sanity.

Distance learning platforms can refer to the methods used for distance learning, such as websites, e-mail, online forums, videoconferencing, chat rooms, bulletin boards and instant messaging. It can also refer to proprietary programs or systems. In other words, you need more information, but you're probably familiar enough with the concepts to apply.

Ok. Cool. That's kind of what I thought it was. Too bad I haven't taken any online courses yet...I have one possibly planned for the summer, but for sure for the fall. If nothing else, I'm a really quick learner when it comes to computer stuff. I'm sure I'd still be well-qualified for the position. It's not my first choice anyway, so...

ION, I love the Internet.

My parents' flight has left the gate, but not actually taken off. At least it's moving in some way, though. Of course, now they're arriving right in the midst of rush hour. Yay!
