Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Poor Aimee!

Timelies!

I don't really have anything else this morning. That's kind of sad.

What is even happening?

Oh Aimee, I hope you get some relief.

Cashmere and Beverly, I adore that movie so so so so so so much. Hmmm. I have to see if it is on DVD and get it, if it is. LOVE.

Gronklies, everyone.

Anne, good luck in your move, wherever you are.

Much get-well-ma, Aimee.

brillig

Just found the coolest story about something called mirror neurons in the brain.

Empathy allows us to feel the emotions of others, to identify and understand their feelings and motives and see things from their perspective. How we generate empathy remains a subject of intense debate in cognitive science.

Some scientists now believe they may have finally discovered its root. We're all essentially mind readers, they say.

Um...what are distance learning platforms, and do we think I can somehow say that I have experience working with them or something similar that would make me qualified for a position requiring that experience?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Teppy, the Alchemist is supposed to "show" one of their IPAs. Sadly, it was not on tap last night. Maybe tonight?

I hope so -- the Holy Cow IPA is (apparently) an amazing beer. I, personally, don't like IPAs b/c they're too hoppy. But if it's on tap tonight, definitely have some!

I don't know if my brother is there or not -- he didn't mention it, but I also haven't talked to him in almost 2 weeks, so he might be there. Just ask for Jeff Lang. (And tell him to call me!)

Yep, it's the Holy Cow. I hope it goes up tonight- I won't be able to take the crowds of people on Friday and Saturday nights, and I can't make it during the day on Saturday.

I hope I get up there tonight, as well.

did the appointment get moved up, or did you just get last minute notification? That sucks, either way, especially with all you've gone through. It's like your time is not important at all, and that's just not cool.

Sanity~ma, though.
