Good news, everybody! I have climbed up onto my roof and found only little areas that need patching. The courageous unemployed people have the wherewithal to deal. Also, I now have pictures of me standing heroically atop the roof with that "I'm King of the World!" schtick.
Also I have two job interviews coming up, and they're both for really good jobs. Gawrsh. It'd be nice if they'd pick me.
I have just viewed the Serenity trailer. Happiness!
just every time there is somethign contrary to the way I want things to go moneywise, even when expected I have to reconvince my self that we are not broke. It is really stupid.
I do exactly the same thing. We've been banking my paycheck in a seperate account and (mostly) not touching it in an effort to build up some savings. We've been pretty successful with it. However, I'm so good at pretending that that money doesn't exist, that I find myself panicking when a bill is going to come due before my husband's paycheck is deposited and might leave us short in our main account....it's silly.
Yay for Lilty vacation! I'll be doing that dance in 2.5 hours!
Her instructions for cleaning the sink seem rather...intense to me. I just scrub away the schmutz with a regular sponge after I do the dishes, and it seems shiny enough for me. Do I need to re-evaluate my standards for sink-shine?
I always figure I'm ahead of the game if there isn't visible mold growing on the dishes.
That would be me. I don't want an exercise video, I just want to learn to dance. Sounds like I have to join all the other bored suburban matrons in hipscarves to do that.
oh good . I am glad someone else does the money dance that I do -t. It has taken me awhile to convince DH just because I am wailing about money it does not mean we are heading towards the poor house.
Yay on both the roof and the interviews, Katie! Good luck!
jobma~jobma~ jobma~
Dammit, now I'm earwormed with the f#@%ing Badgers song again. Nevertheless, jobma is on the way~~~~~~~~
Yay! for Lilty vacation. When you off and flying? Have a fun and safe trip whenever it is.

She's very good about reminding you to check your posture (tummy tucked in, flat back, chest raised) before each new move. I haven't made it to the 'combinations' section of the DVD yet; I use the 'movements' chapter as a cool-down after hopping around with the Veena & Neena Basic Moves DVD (which has very little to do with bellydancing, and a lot to do with hopping. Hop, hop, hop.)
This Sunday, I'm going to go check out a local tribal bellydance class. I hope I like it.

Yeah, that's more or less what I meant. I really, really hate touching the money that goes into the secondary account, and I"m generally very good at not even thinking of it when I'm budgeting things out. But an IRS bill and 400 and change in medical (and vet) expenses this week have me cringing every time I look at my account, and counting the minutes until my next check goes in.
