But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Remember Steph, the ferret is quick but the Earth is dust.

I seriously think a glass of wine or a shot of whiskey would go a long way toward blunting this edginess. I do not, however, keep booze at the office.

Maybe I should go around asking my co-workers if they have booze. That's a good way to stay employed.

The avalanche has already started. It is too late for the pebbles to vote.

Where is that from, if not from your own spicy brain? I want to be able to cite it properly if/when I steal it shamelessly.

It is from Kosh on B5, whom I miss now that he is dead. If I were ever president, I'd want Kosh for my press secretary.

Yeah, every president needs a large alien in an encounter suit making cryptic pronouncements.

Oh, good, a broadcast source. I can use it with impunity, then.

The only Bab5 quote I know is "No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow." Ah, Ivanava.

Mostly lurking...

Oh, my! What a day it's been so far. The gist? My idea for my senior honors thesis has not only been approved, but my advisor thinks that there will be a fight over who sponsors the project. Also, I will probably get money from a scholarship fund to pay for my trip to Chicago at the end of the summer to interview my grandmother for said project.

Also, the coordinator of the honors program thinks I am the perfect replacement for a girl that is graduating this semester, so I may have a job!

Now, if only I have such an easy time over at the CCDE office. I'm not holding my breath, though. These other things have just been too easy. There needs to be a karmic balance at some point.

Please do tell more about this

I actually don't really know the details. It's being hosted/run/taught(?) by a woman I kinda know, who's quite outrageous. I'm sure it'll be interesting. But I'm not sure I really want to go because god only knows who the OTHER people will be.

Yay Baby Isaac!

Good luck VW and Anne.

I am making a middle-of-the-day post because I am not at work, because I feel like CRAP. However, I have to go to work to get some stuff for a trip I'm going on tomorrow. Grrr. So I'm showered and dressed, and sitting here not wanting to go at all. But I'm afraid once I get there, I won't be able to pull off the "I'm so crappy that I just want to find my stuff and leave" and will get sucked into doing other things.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Honey, I suspect you've paid in advance for this easiness. Very good news!
