Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Welcome to the world, Isaac! Congratulations, Burrell!
Good luck with the actual moving part of the move, Anne, and with settlement.
Hope your crazy busy day goes well, vw.
And happy Administrative Professionals Day to any administrative professionals among us.
Hey d! I won't say welcome, 'cause I know I've seen you posting here and there before, but it's nice to see you here.
Welcome to the world, Baby Isaac!
Good luck to Anne! May everything go smoothly.
Wesleyan used to offer a course on pornography, taught by a woman who was in her 80s at least. She died just a couple of years ago. I never got to take the course, more's the pity, but I know that the final project was to create your own work of pornography. I did take another course with that professor, and she was an excellent teacher. So I guess I can say that the courses I most regret not taking in college were on porn and religion.
Welcome to the world, Baby Isaac!
Anne, I hope you and your furniture arrive safely.
Owen either has a bit of squirrel in his makeup or he's trying to take up wine-making.
Um, Check 21 (as it's called) doesn't affect how long a bank can take to credit your account. It just allows checks to be processed more quickly.
No, but IIRC they specifically declined to add measures that would ensure timely crediting to your account.
Okay, who has bogarted all the zen calm? I'm unaccountably edgy and unsettled today. To a significant degree, to the point where I'm itching to engage in really irresponsible behavior.
(Okay, I'm not normally a *zen calm* person, but I'm also not this exposed-nerve edgy today. What up with that?)
Om....om....om....
Since Check21, any check we write hits the bank much faster, but our deposited checks are credited the next day, no matter where they're from, instead of several days later. Mostly, it seems to be a benefit to us.
Timelies. I'm working. Really.
Owen's newest trick is hiding sippy cups and bottles in various areas throughout the house--preferrably in drawers. He then digs them out when my head is turned to drink the stale juice or sour milk still inside.
I'm now like the prison guard who has to count the spoons after lunch.
When I was a toddler my parents kept seeing me walking around with food each thought the other had given me. Eventually they discovered I was stashing part of my meals beneath the cushion of my highchair for later snacking purposes.
To be honest, I haven't really noticed a difference. But I've been pretty happy with my banks - I know my sister, who is with a bigger bank, has had trouble with this - looong holds on checks but no grace on the other side.
(My father's bank will take
weeks
to process a check if you listen to him - but he tends to use his bank to excuse a lot of things he doesn't want to do or to be questioned about, so it's hard to know what to believe.)
Remember Steph, the ferret is quick but the Earth is dust.

Possible, if the safeguard exceptions come into play often -- e.g., he deposits large amounts or is frequently overdrawn.
