Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

you can inform him, if you think it would not lead to retaliation, that you found him expensive and difficult to work with. Or just lose his number.

Trying to be speedy at work today. So, hi/bye! Yay for baby Isaac!

What is even happening?

What is the most irritating about that is that the banks now can take the money out of your account immediately but can wait 10 days (like you said) to deposit your money. [eta: This is some new legislation that just went into effect a few months ago.]
Yeah. That policy isn't just irritating, it is evil.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The first time I walked into Babies R Us, I just wandered around in a daze for a while until I eventually left.

We all do that. There were some other books recommended by Time. I'm going to go to the library to find Area Woman Blows Gasket. I'm intrigued by the title.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Owen's newest trick is hiding sippy cups and bottles in various areas throughout the house--preferrably in drawers. He then digs them out when my head is turned to drink the stale juice or sour milk still inside.

I'm now like the prison guard who has to count the spoons after lunch.

brillig

Oh, good, another boy Buffista baby. I was getting concerned about finding enough babies to match up with other babies for the big Buffista program to take over the world.

Of course, it could all just be a big community thing and no one worries about anything.

Buffista kidlets to take over the world--it's a good thing.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I need this book for the cover art alone.

Ann, that's a ferret.

This is some new legislation that just went into effect a few months ago

Um, Check 21 (as it's called) doesn't affect how long a bank can take to credit your account. It just allows checks to be processed more quickly. Info on Check 21.

And unless safeguard exceptions apply, the bank has to make your deposit available no later than 5 business days after deposit. Which could be more than 5 calendar days, because of cut-off times, plus weekends and federal holidays aren't business days.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Welcome to the world, Isaac! Congratulations, Burrell!

Good luck with the actual moving part of the move, Anne, and with settlement.

Hope your crazy busy day goes well, vw.

And happy Administrative Professionals Day to any administrative professionals among us.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Hey d! I won't say welcome, 'cause I know I've seen you posting here and there before, but it's nice to see you here.

Welcome to the world, Baby Isaac!

Good luck to Anne! May everything go smoothly.

Wesleyan used to offer a course on pornography, taught by a woman who was in her 80s at least. She died just a couple of years ago. I never got to take the course, more's the pity, but I know that the final project was to create your own work of pornography. I did take another course with that professor, and she was an excellent teacher. So I guess I can say that the courses I most regret not taking in college were on porn and religion.
