[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh that's a biased picture! She's all hot and sultry, not all pouty!!
I got my biases -- you need to supply your own ammo.
Miranda Otto. Huh, I kind of remember her in the 13th floor. Not a good movie.
I didn't realize there were women in the barefoot site. I need to be better about looking for updates.
Thanks, ita and -t.
I've tried to put both Movie!Arwen and Movie!Eowyn out of my head. (I love how Miranda Otto played her, hated PJ's direction. At least, based on the commentaries, which have taught me that Miranda hated the soup scene and wanted to do more fighting.)

Hmph.
She's all hot and sultry, not all pouty!!

Not hearing criticism of the One True Movie(set). * I despise Liv Tyler, but thought she did well as Arwen (who is an absolute non-entity in the book), and Eowyn was...Eowyn.

I'm unreasonable in All Things Tolkien. I make no apologies, I usually just retire, muttering, while everyone else looks at me with the fond "he's a daft one, he is" smiles.
(*unless it's my criticism, of course. My egotism is consistent at least.)
I liked movie Eowyn better than book Eowyn. At least, I do now. If I'd seen the movie at the same headstate as when I first read the books, I'm sure it'd have been the other way round.
This Eowyn, barring strange soup scenes, seemed healthier and stronger, but still broken enough to need healing. Book Eowyn now looks brittle and offputtingly death-seeking to me now.
