I'm just, uh, just feeling kinda... truthsome right now. And, uh... life's just too damn short for ifs and maybes.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My favorite sheets belonged to my great-aunt. They're at least 30 years old.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Aimee, I'm still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor.

Your MIL needs to be reminded that you are the mother of her grandchild. And even if she doesn't care about anything else, you do have something to say about how often said grandchild will travel 2000 miles to visit grandma.

I've been trying to think of some charitable interpretation of the remark by Aimee's MIL, but all I can come up with is that she needs to be beaten soundly with a cluestick.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Sorta circumspect, ain't ya? However, if Harvey and Sammie liked him, that's a very good sign!

There was snuggling. There was Buffy and Princess Bride and Burns & Allen watching. There was state parkage, and grilling of burgers. There was some other activity, but Dang It! I have to leave something to your imagination.

ETA spelling. And? The waitresses at the Chinese buffet I usually go to by myself grinned and giggled. We must be cute or something.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Aw, giggling waitresses. Nice!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The reading went very well tonight even though it was long (long long long). Still fun was had.

Sparky and her husband came! Yay - thank you for trekking down when I know you are beset with troubles and have other things to do with your evenings. I really appreciated it.

Also, long time ago Buffista, Bridget Striker came by.

And then when we were packing up, a very nice, lovely woman approached me and asked me to sign her book. Then she said, "Actually I'm a lurker who supports you in email." She said she'd been lurking on the boards since back in the TT days, and was in town for the event and decided to swing by. Made my night - thank you, Dee.

A long time ago I said I thought of the long-time lurkers as being like the angels in Wings of Desire -- beneficent, invisible witnesses among us. And meeting Dee only confirmed that suspicion.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hi. Yay for cool lurkers.
