it's been a very stressful week, but the last few days have been better
vw, FWIW, sometimes there are enough resources to get through the crisis. Then, when things calm down, the mind/body collapses because it's "safe" to do so.
Could that be what you're feeling?
(ETA: Or you can ignore the x-post.)
vw! I got the Mountie boxers a while back and totally forgot to mention. Thank you!
{{{vw}}} Sleep deprivation really adds up, I always find.
In that case, I totally blame the yarn. I've caught yarn conspiring against me before, no reason to think it wouldn't act against vw as well.
I feel like I can't even think. I have all these stupid skills that I've been taught to use, and I can't think of a damned thing to try right now...besides taking a nap, which may be a mistake, 'cause then I might be up all night. So, I paged my therapist, for at least the fifth time this week. Still no call back, though.
I always feel stretched thin when I have several days in a row of not enough sleep.
If it was me, I would take a bath and reread a book I particuarly liked in the tub.
vw, do you have a favorite song or album you can put on and sing? Something to just break/stop/change what your brain is doing right now?
Robin, I would love to do that, but unfortunately our bathtub is not fit for anything more than showers. It's kind of icky and hard to explain.

Yeah. I could try that a bit.
Just briefly talked to my therapist. She thinks I should try to take a short nap then try to just take it easy of the rest of the evening, since I don't really have anything pressing that has to be done. So, I'm going to try.

This is good advice. Along those lines, is there a favorite book you can sit down and read? Would taking Toto for a walk help?
