In that case, I totally blame the yarn. I've caught yarn conspiring against me before, no reason to think it wouldn't act against vw as well.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I feel like I can't even think. I have all these stupid skills that I've been taught to use, and I can't think of a damned thing to try right now...besides taking a nap, which may be a mistake, 'cause then I might be up all night. So, I paged my therapist, for at least the fifth time this week. Still no call back, though.
I always feel stretched thin when I have several days in a row of not enough sleep.
If it was me, I would take a bath and reread a book I particuarly liked in the tub.
vw, do you have a favorite song or album you can put on and sing? Something to just break/stop/change what your brain is doing right now?
Robin, I would love to do that, but unfortunately our bathtub is not fit for anything more than showers. It's kind of icky and hard to explain.

Yeah. I could try that a bit.
Just briefly talked to my therapist. She thinks I should try to take a short nap then try to just take it easy of the rest of the evening, since I don't really have anything pressing that has to be done. So, I'm going to try.

This is good advice. Along those lines, is there a favorite book you can sit down and read? Would taking Toto for a walk help?

I picked up a goofy romance novel at the library yesterday, so I think I may go crash with that and some thunderstorm sounds.
Thanks everyone.
Sounds like a good plan vw.
"Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw?" sung very loudly always makes me feel a bit better.
So, I'm going to try.

Along the song/singing lines, I find it sometimes breaks the unhealthy thought patterns just enough. Something upbeat raises my energy level, and actually singing along means my thoughts aren't wandering into dark corners. My wee little brain has to stop and listen. Could be the shock of just how off-key one person can be.
