Motion sickness. Somebody once put it: "At first you are afraid you are going to die; then you are afraid you won't."
Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I like to have an aisle row if the flight is much over an hour, since I don't like to sit for more than that, but for really short flights, I like the window seat.
Happy birthday, Christopher!
Welcome back, Kristin. Missed you.
{{Lilty}} again for pre-flight jitters.
Oh, and does anyone want to take a look at my résumé and offer suggestions?
You need to figure out which row you're getting - the exit row with another exit row behind it won't recline. The back one ususally will.
Happy Birthday, Christopher! You crazy little escape artist genius, you.
Oof. Busy busy weekend with two baseball games. We won! Emmett broke out of his hitting slump. We had two outfield assists!! Everybody hit. Everybody scored. I'm so tired, and I've got a book reading tomorrow and a book related event/concert on Friday.
Hec, how was Ellen's (is that her name?) ball-fear?
Happy Birthday, Christopher!
P-C, I can't promise anything, 'cause I'm heading to bed now and will probably be swamped tomorrow, but you can email me your resume if you want (profile address is good) and I'll try to take a look at it tomorrow if I get the time.
Hec, how was Ellen's (is that her name?) ball-fear?
That is her name, and she was a no-show at practice Friday and both games this weekend. We fear that that she has succumbed to fear of the hardball and is bailing on us, which really bums me out. Aside from the fact that I really like Ellen personally, you just hate to see a kid give in to their fear. It's the sort of thing that really settles into the psyche. You just want every story to be a success story - especially with the smart interesting nice kids. Doesn't always play that way.
eta: As a side note, Ellen is also playing soccer concurrently so it's not like she'd be dropping sports altogether. At some point she'd have to drop one sport for the other anyway.
On the flipside, our other girl player, Emily, who has been in a hitting slump all season, broke out in the last two games with big line drives into the outfield.
They had plays in today's game that were just pure baseball. Our defense finally finallly jelled and we were getting the other team out on the basepaths.
Nathan threw out a baserunner at first from Rightfield for the last out in an inning. I ran out on to the field yelling, "You know who did that!?! Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente did that!" Emmett played really well today, breaking out of his hitting slump, and making some key plays in the field (including the other outfield assist).
Once and Again Season Two is finally coming to dvd! ZOMG YAY!
Now back to your regularly scheduled Bitches.
