People who have flown: Is there an end on the plane where you'd choose to sit over another? Back? Middle? (I'm a dork and booked all window seats because I want to see everything.)

I like to sit towards the front, since you don't get the claustro sardine-can effect when you're trying to get off the plane. Also, I like the window seat, since I can lean into the wall and get some space between me and the other passengers in my row.

As much as I worry about Owen's bumps and bruises, our ped reassured me that you can tell the difference. And he'd be worried about a toddler learning to walk that didn't have a few marks--it shows that he's getting out there and trying and I'm not too overprotective or afraid to let him fall.

I can't wait to see what the ground looks like as you get further away from it. (I know the novelty will probably wear off, but whateva.)
Also, I'm hoping I don't get sick. I haven't gotten motion sickness since I was a little kid, but my mom says that if I got carsick then, I will get airsick now. I don't want to!

There's no direct link. My sister was terribly horribly carsick as a kid, and has never had a problem flying, even when she was wee.

Oh, good. I don't want to spend the time feeling like I'm going to yarf when I plan on having shiny new books to read. (Although sometimes I still have a hard time reading in the car. I'm fine on trains, though.)

Yup. I couldn't get in a car without booting as a kid. I've NEVER gotten airsick. Well, except for on my way to London once, but I'm blaming the salmon on the in-flight meal. Or the 5 Jack & cokes.
