Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

Cass, Sophia told me that when she used to have anxiety attacks, she would say to herself (in her head), "I am calm. I am calm. I am calm." I have used it when the agoraphobia is trying to bite, and it works.

Think of this as stage fright, which usually works to help you give an energized performance. You've already given this woman a great story to tell her friends about you calling her in the middle of the night. You're pretty. You're charming. You're in like Flynn.

Love,
Dead but still pretty

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

{{{Gud}}} I hope things get better soon.

I skimmed and skimmed and skimmed, with a pause to coo over the Tickybox pictures. When I went thrift store shopping with a bunch of the local goths last Sunday, I ended up buying more clothes for Princess Tickybox Lilly than for me. I think this means I've officially turned into a Crazy Auntie.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Gud, I'm sorry. Still hoping that things get less bumpy and rough. Soon.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Gud, sweetie, I'm hoping for the best possible outcome for you and your family, whatever that is.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

{{{Gud}}}

Hoping all the best for you.

I really shouldn't go out and spend $8 on lunch at Kidd Valley. But I want to. Because the alternatives are a can of soup or heating up a frozen burrito, both of which seemed like wonderful things when I stocked up on them at Costco a few months ago, but now taste impossibly bland and salty. Not that the chicken bacon club with fries I'm craving wouldn't be salty, but at least they wouldn't be bland.

Hmm. Maybe I can get rid of my guilt at eating something bad for me, spending money I don't need to, and driving when I don't need to (with gas $2.50/gallon, that's wasted money in itself) if I faithfully promise to start making tasty things like chili and pasta in large enough batches to have leftovers for lunch.

Coding and Sleeping

Thanks for the good thoughts. I probably shouldn't weigh down the board with my crap, but it is nice to get the good thoughts when I'm feeling down.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Vibes to everyone who needs them; there seem to be no current birthday happies needed.

Finally caught up again - have been busy at work, but finally got stuff out of the way and it's quiet now. I like the quiet.
