And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

And I'm making raspberry bars

Oooohhhh, raspberry bars....

vw, glad to hear you got good news! Go, you, on the cooking.

I once didn't go for about three years and required major cleaning, so I've been very careful since then.

I didn't go for about 4 years after I got out of the Navy (lack of insurance) when I knew darn well I had a bad cavity. I ended up with a very deep filling that 2 years later turned into a $600 root canal and crown. A $50 cleaning once a year and I probably wouldn't have had to even get the filling. It's worth it. Go. Get your teeth cleaned.

IOmemeN, I had an invterview at work today for a new job. It was four and a half hours. Can I cry now?

Can I cry now?

You can, but you probably rocked it, so it is probably more appropriate to give yourself a treat.

I once had an all-day, 13 hour interview. (9 a.m. to 10 p.m.) I went to work at the place that picked me up at 10 and broke out the bottle of wine at lunch, instead.

Mostly lurking...

Oh my, Sail! That's a long interview. You can cry, or you could have one of these lovely raspberry bars that I'm making...

Or, you could do both. Your choice.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

My DH has just put the kibosh on our long weekend together.

I'm a bit late on this, Sparky, but I do hope that this at least results in a great job for your DH. Once he has it, but before he actually starts, then you can take the vacation! Sending job ~ma.

I remember watching some tv movie about Henry VIII and Anne Boylen. Her alleged lover was being tortured, and as he screamed the camera went in for a close shot on his open mouth. Which was full of very 20th century silver dental work. It took me out of the moment as much as a digital watch on his wrist would have.

Snark. This is too good.

All this dentist talk reminds me that for the last week or so, I've been having random tooth aches on my right side, mostly upper. Since they're not constant (maybe 1/2 hour, 0-2 times a day), I've been blaming them on sinus problems (which I am having right now). Anyone have any idea if this is possible or if I should join in and make a dental appointment?

You can, but you probably rocked it

Not when the main interviewer kept saying, "You do know about all the jobs available in R & D right now, don't you? You'd be perfect for them." I finally had to tell him none of them pay more than what I'm making now, no incentive. I started to wonder what the hell I was doing there.

I'll take the raspberry bar, vw. Thanks!

eta: Thanks, sj.
