Also, do you know what it means when a Bible verse is quoted with "NIV" at the end? I'm writing cover copy for a devotional, and this verse from Exodus is cited: Exodus 20:24b, NIV. I don't get the "b" or the "NIV". Could you or Cindy (or anyone else) clue me in?

I'm not sure what the b is for, but IIRC, NIV means New International Version, which refers to one specific modern English edition by a group called the International Bible Society.

Also? The noontime news here just reported that a 16-year-old girl learning to parallel park killed her mom when she accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake. (Mom had set up cones and was giving pointers.)
I want to hug this poor girl, and then hug her some more, and then hug her again. I cannot imagine what she must be feeling.
