I also like 'Oriental desserts' of the kind common here in Egypt - although, no, one can't eat more than one or two wee cakes, because, damn, hello honey. But still - yum. And Om Ali! Man oh man, Om Ali makes Bread'n'Butter pudding look like white trash. Which I guess it is, really, but DAMN, the Egyptian version is SO MUCH YUMMIER than the British one. And I
love
Bread'n'Butter pudding. But - yum.
Also? TICKYBOX!!!!
I can't believe no one has advised Aimee to try the goat curry.
I tried to once, but Joe et it all. I'm still very bitter about this.

Am I the only one who heard this in their head as "Joe, et al"?
Maybe Teppy did.

It was four thousand years ago. Get over it.
Sheesh.
Love you.
Joe, et al. has a new tag.
Well, but curry goat is West Indian. (By which I mean Carribean, obviously. Er. Not from the West of India. But you knew that.)
...And, um, I don't love it. Rice and peas, otoh, or roast plantain, yum yum yum. Curry goat, not so much with the yum.
(Sorry, ita's mum. Who I presume probably does make fabulous curry goat, since she can do everything else and has a perfect singing voice and could kill you with her pinky and should, in fact, probably be called Mary Sue.)
Maybe Teppy did.
I really did. Occupational hazard.
Curry goat isn't just West Indian. Or our influence has stretched beyond borders. I've had it just as often in Indian restaurants as in Jamaican ones.
