Much armorma to connie's DH.
Plei, I wish I had any sage advice from my own life in shoestringville. It seems like something extra has always come through when we've really needed it, but "I find that praying a lot helps" isn't so much with the sound and reassuring financial advice.
Money woes are the absolute fucking worst. I wish I had even the smallest bit of advice.
Me, too. ~ma for Plei and Sean.
And whoot! for Connie's DH!! And Emmett!!
In slightly happier news, I just finished a very delicious tri-tip steak sandwich with au jus that my gf brought home for me from yesterday's craft services table.
Don't have the link handy, but the feds turned down the latest Schaivo appeal.
Sean, that's very sweet of her, considering that she is a vegetarian.

There is a joke here involving "only meat" and "her man" but my head hurts too much to solidify it at the moment.

She's actually a pescavegetarian, like JZ, but it is very sweet of her. She's even offered to cook any meat I bring over, as she does know how to cook meat, she just doesn't do it for herself.

SO DISAPPOINTED!
Thank you everyone for the very nice things you said about me. I needed that today. It was nice to come home to.
Plei, I wish I had something to offer other than been-there-done-that-about-to-do-it-again-ness, but sadly I don't. I know it's terrifying, though, and I do hope that you'll figure something out.
Yay for Emmett!
So, I'm having a shitty day...have a migraine, forced myself to classes, got a lower grade on my test than I had thought, sat through another class without saying a word 'cause I couldn't focus, and now I have to pull myself together to go out with the family. I'd cancel, but my dad already bought tickets...
Oh, and in even better news, my Mountain Tales prof pulled me aside after class today to talk about Deliverance, which we're starting on Monday. She wants me to think about whether or not I really want to participate in these few classes. She warned me about a few things in the movie, and now I'm seriously considering taking her up on the option of another assignment instead. I'm just not sure I'm up for this right now. But, on the other hand, I HATE HATE HATE the idea of opting out of part of the class. I'm totally stumped on this one. Anyone have any thoughts? Especially those who have seen the movie...
Did anyone see anything on the news about this afternoon being 112 hours long? Because that seems unfortunate to me.
