Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Mostly lurking...

I'm bad ex-Chicagoan. I had to go Google it. But don't tell anyone.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I just got back from Amsterdam last night, so I'm feeling pretty good myself. Terrific city.

On the flight back from Atlanta today, DH read in his in-flight magazine that Amsterdam is one of the top cities in the world to live in. He asked me if I wanted to move. And he's never even smoked pot before.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Lilty, if I were going to Chicago, I would go to either (crap, I'm blanking on names, but maybe someone can help me out) the fairly well-known deep dish pizza place just off Michigan Ave. with dark wooden booths and white writing all over the place

You mean like this?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

You mean like this?

Bwaaahh! All it needs is the little Kilroy icon to make it official.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Makes list of places to be squired to.

I also want to go to the Art Institute just long enough to look at the Seurat and listen to "Sunday" on my iPod.

What is even happening?

Yeah, so anyhow, we got home from Julia's first T-ball practice a little early, because

IT'S SNOWING.

YEAH.

SNOWING.

It stopped for a while, but now it's really snowing--snowing like crazy. It's not accumulating. Yet.

We had some crazy squalls a while ago, Cindy. Thankfully, they stopped.

Art Crawl!!!

Wow.

It's been raining here -- all day.

I hope that you're not going to the Art Institute on the weekend -- because THAT Seurat room will be CROWDED.

If I only had a brain...

Is it "Sunday In The Park With George"'s anniversary?

Oh good, Lilty.

When it first started while we were at the baseball field, one of the mothers asked, "What is that?" I said it was pollen. WRONG. I think it is supposed to rain a lot, tomorrow. Please, please, please warm up a little, world. Thanks?
