I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

I'm glad your back is feeling better today, Jessica. Back pain is SO NOT FUN.

ION, my Emily comes home today. I can't wait to show her the living room. I hope she likes it.

Why do they show houses full of furniture? Doesn't that get in the way of seeing the house? Presumably, the furniture will be going along with the people who leave the house. I watch the shows about selling houses, and people come in and say horrible things about the decorating, which is irrelevant.

I can't even.

Does it never end???!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Heh. Not so far. And why don't I have a magic coffee machine at my desk? What has this civilization achieved anyway?

A friend of mine is watching Buffy for the first time, well, two friends, actually, but this one is near the end of S5. He sent me an icq "oh don't say the last ep is a cliff hanger."

I was good, but nearly exploded from the not saying anything spoily.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

GOrram knocking noise from inside the dasboard this morning. Didn't do it at all last night. Must to be calling salesman.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Oi.

It didn't do it last night on the test drive and it didn't do it after we got home and then took our friend's out for a drive. I left a message for the salesguy. I've got a 3 month warranty on it so hopefully, it'll be covered whatever the hell it is.

Thrive to spite them

I watch the shows about selling houses, and people come in and say horrible things about the decorating, which is irrelevant.

I don't get that either. Sometimes they don't say anything about the room just "I don't like that couch/dresser/chair/comforter."

Although I do understand comments like "there's a lot of furniture in here/the furniture is too big." Because I keep getting thrown off about how much space I'm going to have when I move into Grandma's house because she has so much furniture. She's got about 14 pieces of furniture of varying sizes in her living/dining room which is WAY WAY too much.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

well, it sort of can set a mood, and help with people's visualization - seeing themselves in there. I am sad I don't have these people's furniture, but I was glad to see it in there. It made me think, OK well, it is tricky to set up the TV in the sitting room area, or, great, a queen sized bed "does" fit in that corner. Also, we think our dresser will get up to the 2nd floor because the current owners have a large dresser in there already. So, having furniture, though not an abundance, is helpful to my mind's eye, thinking about what I can do when I own the space.
