Faith: A kid. Angel's got a kid. Wesley: Connor. Faith: A teenage kid born last year. Wesley: I told you, he grew up in a hell dimension. Faith: Right. And what, Cordelia spent her last summer as… Wesley: A divine being. Faith: Uh-huh. Can I just ask--What the hell are you people doing?

Mostly lurking...

Happy Birthday, Annabel and AmyLiz!

Are we sure that you can't transmit diseases through the internet? I have also had itchy bumps for the last couple of days. I'm taking antihistamines and putting on cortisone cream, but they're still there. Since I haven't been anywhere except in front of the computer and walking around my neighborhood and I don't have any new soap or detergent, I'm not sure what's going on. A rash is a fairly rare side effect of some medicaton I'm on, but why would it start two weeks after I started the medicine? And why would it only be on my legs? My current theories are: the medication, a new response to spring pollen or I've suddenly become allergic to jeans and sweatpants.

Well, when I get a firm diagnosis (hopefully this afternoon), I’ll pass it on to you. Maybe we’re sharing some weird sort of virus (which is what the NP suspects and why she sent me home).

So, yes. I’m home. And I’m frustrated as all hell. I’ve worked SO hard to get to classes this semester, and things still come up. I feel like a total failure, although, I know that’s not rational. It’s just how I’m feeling right now.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Happy birthday to AmyLiz and Annabel

Health-ma to vw, Jeff, beth, and all other Buffistas who find their health oppressive

I would like to issue a formal apology to The Empress for 1) Calling her names 2) failing to capitalize said names into non-offensive terms and 3) blaming her for failings of the crappy family PC.

Also, yay on Gym membership.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This is absolutely not your fault, vw. I completely understand the feeling, but it wasn't even your decision that you had to go home, and you certainly didn't choose to pick up a virus (or have an allergic reaction or whatever it turns out to be). It doesn't negate your effort and commitment to make it to your classes.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

But, this semester, vw, you're not skipping because you have a headache, or don't feel like it, or are cranky. You're missing because you're actually sick.

Stephanie, when is your birthday? Did I miss something? I do not have it on my list.

Happy Birthday AmyLiz! I hope it's splendiferous.

Many happy returns of the day, Miss Annabel.

Every time I type an apostrophe, the browser thinks I want to search. What is up with that?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Fingers are crossed for Meja.

Ugh. I feel like I'm on the verge of an anxiety attack. Work is out of control. I have to find someone to cover at the other job Sunday so I can work this one, and so far, no luck. Today is a friend's little brother's funeral, and there's no way for me to get away, and even if I could, it brings up icky stuff from Alex's death.

I would like to start this week over please.

Happy Birthday, Annabel!!!

Happy Birthday, AmyLiz!!!

I am back from my therapy appointment and resisting the urge to hide the rest of the day in bed. In better news I just had some leftover spaghetti and tunafish sauce that I made myself. It isn't my grandfather's but it is not half bad.

Heather, I'm so sorry. Sending vibes that you will be able to get through this day in once piece.

Punishingly Intricate

Good luck, lisah, I hope it's a benign meeting of some sort.

So my company was a small company bought by a very large company last year. My company was started over 10 years ago by two brothers who ran it in their insane yet successful way until today. Evidently they were doing things that didn't quite jibe with Big Company being a publicly held entity. So they are out as is my big boss. The guy over my boss. Supposedly Big Company is very committed to keeping things going here, moving forward etc... So we'll see. If what they're saying is true then my day-to-day won't be much affected. But you never know.

It's just weird because the brothers started this place from scratch and named it and everything and they can't even come in the building now. They were pretty crazy though. I would have been out of here long ago if I had to work with them as a direct report. Honestly I thought something like this would happen eventually. I knew they'd never really go for having bosses.

Many health vibes for Meija.

One curtain down (erm, up, actually), 4 to go. Later!

edited again to reattach my brain and wish Heather a more peaceful week and a replacement for Sunday at the other job.
